Last updated: 30 June 2026

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other national data protection laws of the Member States as well as other data protection regulations is:

Follow Your Feet OÜ
Wildparkweg 6
53577 Neustadt (Wied)
Germany
E-mail: contact@beepmyquad.com

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the website beepmyquad.com and to all sub-pages operated by the controller named above.

3. The converter is client-side

The core feature of beepmyquad — converting MIDI files into RTTTL melodies — runs entirely in your web browser. The MIDI file you select is read and processed locally. It is never uploaded to our servers. We do not see, store, or transmit the contents of your MIDI files.

4. Server logs

When you access beepmyquad.com, our hosting provider (All-Inkl.com) automatically processes technical information that your browser transmits to the server. This may include:

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a stable, secure website). Log entries are retained for the period required by the hosting provider for security investigations and then deleted.

5. Contact form

When you submit the contact form on /contact, we process the data you enter (name, e-mail address, subject, message) along with your IP address and user-agent string for the purpose of answering your request (Art. 6 (1) lit. b and lit. f GDPR). The form payload is transmitted to our server, verified against Google reCAPTCHA (see section 7) and forwarded by SMTP to contact@beepmyquad.com.

Messages are retained until the matter is concluded; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

6. Cookies

beepmyquad itself does not set any first-party cookies. However, the third-party services embedded on this site — Google reCAPTCHA (section 7), Google AdSense (section 8) and Google Analytics 4 (section 9) — may set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser. See the respective sections below for details and opt-out options.

7. Google reCAPTCHA

Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3 to prevent automated submissions. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

reCAPTCHA analyses signals about your interaction with the form (mouse movements, timing, device characteristics) and returns a score that we use to decide whether to accept your submission. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA may transmit information including your IP address to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in defending the form against spam and abuse).

Further information: Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

8. Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to display third-party advertisements that help fund the operation of this site.

AdSense uses cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies in your browser to deliver advertisements and to measure how those advertisements perform. The information collected by AdSense may include:

Google may combine this information with data from your Google account (if you are signed in to one while visiting beepmyquad.com) and use it for ad targeting, personalisation, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregated reporting. AdSense may transfer data to servers in the United States. Where required, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as a legal basis for the transfer.

Legal basis:

Your options:

Joint controllership: where Google and beepmyquad act as joint controllers for the collection and onward transmission of data via the AdSense tags, the respective responsibilities are set out in the Google Ads Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms. Further information about AdSense data processing is available in Google's Privacy Policy and at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

9. Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4 ("GA4"), a web-analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"), to measure how visitors use beepmyquad.com so we can improve the service.

GA4 is loaded through the Google tag (gtag.js) with measurement ID G-2PDD42Q1EL. When enabled, GA4 collects information including:

Google processes this data on our behalf and produces aggregated reports about visitor counts, traffic sources, popular pages and similar statistics. We have configured GA4 with IP-anonymisation enabled and have not activated Google-Signals or advertising-feature linking.

Data transfer to the US: Google may transfer data to servers in the United States. Where required, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as a legal basis for the transfer.

Legal basis: your consent according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR and § 25 (1) TTDSG, obtained through the cookie / consent banner shown when you first visit the site. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Retention: event-level and user-level data is retained for the duration we have configured in our GA4 property (default: 2 months for event data) and then automatically deleted by Google.

Your options:

Joint controllership: for the cross-device and online-identifier-based processing Google performs under the GA4 service, Google and beepmyquad act as independent controllers on the basis of the Google Data Controller Terms. Further information: Google's Privacy Policy and "How Google Analytics protects your data".

10. Third-party content (CDN)

To parse MIDI files we load the JavaScript module @tonejs/midi from jsDelivr. When this asset is fetched, your browser inevitably transmits its IP address to jsDelivr's servers. jsDelivr's privacy policy applies to that transmission.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in delivering a working application without operating our own CDN).

11. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding personal data we process about you:

To exercise any of these rights, e-mail us at contact@beepmyquad.com.

12. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR. In Germany, the competent authority for our state is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The current version is always available at /privacy.
